Set inside a towering metal cage, Honour Bound uses aerial acrobatics, theatre, dance and film to tell the story of Australian David Hicks and his incarceration in Guantanamo Bay. This deeply human story is seen through the eyes of Hicks’s parents, combining their moving testimony with letters, internal Pentagon papers and the accounts of former detainees.
Honour Bound pushes the limits of integrated live performance and raises important questions about the balance between the pursuit of national security and human rights.
The production contains nudity and is suitable for theatregoers aged 16 and older.
