This new stage adaptation of Hetty Feather transfers to the West End following its successful run at the Rose Theatre Kingston.
Starring Holby City’s Phoebe Thomas in the title role, the production tells the story of a feisty Victorian heroine who must escape from the Foundling Hospital to find a family of her own.
Audiences will tremble as she faces Matron Stinking Bottomly, be thrilled as she discovers the squirrel house and Tanglefields Travelling Circus, and gasp as she endures a night locked in the attic, all in a bid to find her real mother.
The production is directed by Sally Cookson, whose innovative take on Cinderella earned an Olivier Award nomination in 2013, and adapted by playwright Emma Reeves (Carrie’s War, Cool Hand Luke) who returns to the work of former Children’s Laureate Jacqueline Wilson following her long-running CBBC screen adaptation of Wilson‘s The Story Of Tracy Beaker.
Packed with live music and exhilarating circus skills, Hetty Feather is suitable for children aged seven and older.
