Recently formed theatre company PaperMash Theatre makes its Tricycle Theatre debut with Happy Birthday Without You, a one woman comedy written and performed by Sonia Jalaly.

Exploring a growing cultural obsession with autobiography through songs, impersonations and satire, the production centres on a fictional performance artist called Violet Fox and portrays the struggle of an artist desperate to be more extraordinary than what she sees as her distinctly ordinary audience.

Directed by Ruby Thompson, Happy Birthday Without You previously played at London’s Canal Café Theatre.
