Handa’s Hen is based on the book by Eileen Browne and follows the Little Angel theatre’s previous production of Handa’s Surprise.

Aimed at 2-5 year olds, Handa’s Hen tells the story of Handa and her friend Akeyo, who go looking for Grandma’s black hen Mondi. They find two fluttery butterflies round the hen house, three stripey mice under the grain store and four little lizards behind the pots – but where is Mondi?

Little Angel theatre’s production of Handa’s Hen uses over 50 specially created puppets to bring the story to life.
