Performed as part of the Unicorn theatre’s bicentennial celebrations of the Brothers Grimm, Grimm’s Sheesha explores the Eastern origins of some of the Brother Grimm’s fairytales.
Many of the Grimm’s stories are through to have had their origins in the oral traditions of the East, leap-frogging continents to arrive in Europe via the mouths of merchants, gypsies, travellers and migrants.
British Punjabi storyteller Peter Chand holds a mirror to the world of Grimms with a vivid exploration of South Asian versions of some strangely familliar tales.
The production is suitable for children aged 8 and above.
