When William Beech is evacuated to the English countryside, he is sent to live with the elderly recluse Tom Oakley. An unlikely pairing at first, their relationship grows and blossoms, until everything is torn apart when he is summoned back to London.

David Troughton stars as Mister Tom. The acclaimed actor has appeared extensively with the RSC and boasts National Theatre credits in productions including Season’s Greetings, Measure For Measure and Peter Pan.
