This visually arresting and satirical take on our misuse of technology transfers to the West End following a critically acclaimed run at the Young Vic.

Presented by multi award-winning theatre company 1927, Golem combines live performance with music, film and animation to tell the story of extraordinarily ordinary Robert Robertson, whose life is irrevocably disrupted when he purchases a creature called a golem that promises to improve the efficiency of his daily affairs.

Written and directed by Suzanne Andrade, the show follows Robert as he upgrades to superior model Golem 2 and begins to question what happens when man is no longer in control of machine.

Shortly after its premiere at the Young Vic, Golem picked up a Critics’ Circle Award for Paul Barritt’s spectacular set, sharing the award for Best Designer with fellow West End transfer hit The Nether.
