Music, laughter, rhymes, rhythms and repetitions together with puppetry, paint, water and mud… mischievous family show We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is back in the West End!
Inviting families to join an intrepid team of explorers – and their musical dog – in their exciting fun-filled adventure, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt returns to London at the Lyric Theatre in Summer 2018 – the perfect theatrical outing for all young families.
Along the way, there’re plenty of obstacles to overcome, including swishy swashy grass, the splishy splashy river and the oozy squelchy mud, in search of a bear. But as the explorers soon learn – they can’t go under it, they can’t go over it – so they’ll have to go through it!
By turns funny, exuberant and silly, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is full of laughter, music, silliness and thrills that will excite and delight all ages. Expect plenty of interaction, a few surprises – and maybe even the appearance of a bear – along the way.
Benjamin Hills (Dog/Musician), Rebecca Newman (Girl) and Thos Wainwright (Dad) return to the cast, and they will be joined by Joey Hickman (Boy).
Director Sally Cookson’s hugely inventive production set to Benji Bower’s lively musical score is a mischievous celebration of play, utilising everyday objects and materials to capture the imagination and propel audiences into the world of Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s much-loved picture book. We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is presented by Kenny Wax Family Entertainment and is created by the critically acclaimed production team including Cookson, composer Benji Bower, designer Katie Sykes, lighting designer Tony Simpson, sound designer Jason Barnes, and puppet designer Marc Parrett.
Aimed at pre and primary school children aged 3+ and their families, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is an action-packed treat for those who love the book, and the ideal theatrical experience for first time theatregoers.
