In Rawums (:) is a trip to the wonderland of gravity for very small children from 2 to 5 years, two clownish performers explore falling and flying, lightness and heaviness in a beautifully poetic form of physical theatre.
Falling is easy, flying is hard: can a house, a chair or a human being fly?
Why do feathers gently float to the ground while a little bag of sand falls down quickly? We go up, we come down – but in this performance nothing is what we think it is and we discover anything is possible, even flying!
Rawums (:) received the Berlin Ikarus 2008 prize for the most extraordinary play for a young audience.
Performed in English and suitable for ages 2-5.
