A powerful combination of traditional flamenco and a passionate love story comes to life in Explosion at the Lyric Theatre.

The production begins by presenting traditional flamenco at its very best as the company plays, sings and dances everything from bulerias to tangos before picking up pace in the second half as the show is brought into the 21st century.

Brought to the stage by world class dancer Jay Markwick and his Flamenco Dance Company, Explosion fuses Markwick’s love for the technique and speed of this style of dance with his own individual style including an exciting display of contemporary, street and Latin sequences.
