Born in Israel and now based in France, the double Bessie Award-winning choreographer Emanuel Gat initially trained as a conductor before shifting his attention to dance.
Each of the six pieces that make up Works is dedicated to a different composer, from Gat himself to Nina Simone and The Righteous Brothers. But it is the uniqueness, virtuosity and fearlessness of the dancers that influence this performance.
Gat moves the dancers through the musical landscape in distinct formations and groupings, providing them with the opportunity to show off their differing interpretations, responses, history and relationships, as he honours their idiosyncrasies.
Post-show talk – Monday 11 November
