Australian entertainment icon Barry Humphries brings alter egos Dame Edna Everage, Sir Les Patterson and Sandy Stoneto the London Palladium for one raucous farewell show, Eat, Pray Laugh!
Act One of Humphries’ final live show, which has already filled theatres with laughter in Australia and New Zealand, features the gentle Sandy Stone and the offensive, outrageous, Falstaffian Sir Les Patterson.
Act Two brings the instantly recognisable purple rinse of Dame Edna Everage to the stage, where the antipodean icon promises to explore issues including loss, gender, climate change, gay marriage and ethnicity.
Melbourne housewife turned international megastar Dame Edna Everage was created by Humphries in 1955. She has since graced stages on both Broadway and the West End, winning a Tony Award for the US performance of The Royal Tour.
