The second production in The Scoop at More London’s summer season of free theatre is Don Juan In Love.

The handsome Don Juan is a devil with the ladies and a demon with a blade. He can seduce a pretty girl in a heartbeat with a flash of his smile, and silence an enemy with a flash of cold steel.

The Steam Industry’s production of Zorilla’s play follows the great swordsman and lover as he charms and murders his way through the high society and low dives of history in a feast of raucous comedy, swashbuckling adventure and heartstopping adventure.

But the aristocrat must learn that there are consequences to a life of breaking hearts and destroying families. It’s a brave young woman who proves to be both his downfall and his chance of salvation.

Zorilla’s tale has inspired many other writers through the years. The Steam Industry’s production draws inspiration from them all to present a fast-paced new version for a city troubled by its own mixture of machismo and violence.
