Puppetry, video projection and electronic sound combine in this intriguing collaboration between theatre artist and puppeteer Basil Twist and master musician Yumiko Tanaka.

Inspired by the Japanese art of creating beautiful illusions through perspective, Dogugaeshi features more than 100 handpainted gilt and paper panels that unfold, revolve and slide, to reveal images from both ancient and contemporary Japan.

Dogugaeshi is suitable for theatregoers aged 10 and older.
