The National Youth Theatre celebrate their 60th anniversary by transporting audiences into the darkness of an unnamed wood in the West End premiere of Dennis Kelly’s moral tug of war thriller DNA.
Taking centre stage in the West End under the dynamic direction of Bryan Forbes Bursary winner Sean Hollands, DNA follows a lawless gang attempting to bury a sinister secret, after the consequences of a practical joke escalate beyond their control.
Setting into motion a thrilling power play, the group need someone to stamp their authority on the situation. But seeking out a trustworthy individual from within only leads to the emanating of yet more lies and tension, as everyday adolescence twists into an anarchic game of survival.
Actions and their consequences are juggled by Kelly’s harrowing drama as the National Youth Theatre REP Company debut this hilarious tale – with a dark heart – at the Ambassadors Theatre.
