Celebrating the extraordinary artistic versatility of one of today’s greatest dancers, Diana Vishneva: On The Edge brings the Russian dancer’s dazzling technique and dramatic intensity to this double bill at the London Coliseum.

Comprising Jean-Christophe Maillot’s intriguing pas de trois Switch and Carolyn Carlson’s profound solo work Woman In A Room, Diana Vishneva: On The Edge received its world premiere at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California in November 2014.

Set to music by Academy Award nominated and Grammy Award-winning composer Danny Elfman, Switch is described by Vishneva as “a story about a woman, her alter ego and her relationship with men.”

Inspired by the films of Andrei Tarkovsky, Woman In A Room is an evocative work that follows one woman’s journey in life, filled with joys, bitterness and contemplation, and features music by Italian post-minimalist composer and cellist Giovanni Sollima with a finale piece by René Aubry.
