Broadway star Betty Buckley stars alongside Paul Nicholas in the UK premiere of Jerry Herman’s Dear World, the first production of the musical fable ever to be staged outside of the United States.
Set in post-war Paris, Dear World weaves a classic tale of good versus evil about a madwoman and her odd collection of acquaintances who band together to stop rapacious business men destroying both her home and all of Paris when oil is discovered under the streets of the city.
The show, which premiered on Broadway in 1969 starring Angela Lansbury and Milo O’Shea, is directed and choreographed by Gillian Lynee.
