Cool Hand Luke is the hard-hitting story of a World War II veteran turned convict and rebel, whose unquenchable spirit and refusal to be broken by the system becomes part of his fellow convicts’ mythology of survival.

From extreme acts of gluttony and gambling – which include betting his fellow inmates that he can eat 50 eggs – to harrowing escape attempts, Cool Hand Luke’s acts of defiance turn him into a symbol of hope against a cruel regime aimed to break a man’s body and spirit.

This production of Cool Hand Luke features Marc Warren in the title role. Warren is best known for his roles in TV series Hustle, Mad Dogs and Mutual Friends, but was last seen in the West End playing Ray Say in The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice.

Cool Hand Luke is based on the novel by Donn Pearce, which was filmed in 1967 with Paul Newman in the title role.
