Louise Brealey and Joe Armstrong star in Nick Payne’s critically acclaimed play Constellations as it returns to the West End for a limited run at the Trafalgar Studios.

The explosive tale of friendship and love, which premiered at the Royal Court in 2012, follows the story (or stories) of Marianne and Roland as their life, friendship and burgeoning relationship is looked at through shards of infinite possibilities.

Directed by Michael Longhurst, the production combines quantum multiverse theory and the idea of free will with dazzling results.

Best known for her role in the BBC’s Benedict Cumberbatch-led Sherlock, Brealey returns to the London stage following recent roles in The Herd at the Bush Theatre and Birthday at the Royal Court.

Her co-star Armstrong, whose screen appearances include Happy Valley, The Village and The Hollow Crown, has appeared on stage in the Royal Court Theatre’s The Empire, Orphans at the Soho Theatre and Flare Path in the West End.
