There’s a hard road, there’s an easy road – which would you take? Complicit at the Old Vic addresses this age old problem set in a modern political age.

Joe Sutton’s new play is about a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Ben Kritzer (Richard Dreyfuss), who finds himself in front of a Supreme Court Grand Jury and is forced to choose between defending his family or defending his beliefs in the freedom of the press. As liberties are stripped away, can you ever know what is being perpetrated in your name?

Complicit is a thrilling look at our current political climate and is directed by Kevin Spacey, Artistic Director of the Old Vic. Spacey previously directed Cloaca at the theatre and has also starred onstage at the Old Vic in Richard II, A Moon For The Misbegotten and Speed-The-Plow.

Starring in Complicit is Richard Dreyfuss. Dreyfuss is best known for his film career which includes roles in Mr Holland’s Opus, What About Bob?, Tin Men, Jaws, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Down And Out In Beverly Hills and The Goodbye Girl, for which he won an Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe. On stage his credits include Death And The Maiden on Broadway and The Prisoner Of Second Avenue in London in 1999.
