Christmas In New York is the West End’s annual celebration of seasonal songs and classic carols and this year it is bigger than before, featuring over seventy people on stage.
Evoking a magical time of year in a much loved city, Christmas In New York is a multi-layered chocolate box of musical moments providing an unforgettably magical yuletide journey infused with creative invention and reinterpretation at every turn.
Having started life in 2006 at the Apollo theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, Christmas In New York has since played at the Lyric theatre in both 2007 and 2008. It now finds a new home for 2009 in the sumptuous surroundings of the recently refurbished Prince of Wales theatre, the home of long-running hit musical Mamma Mia!
Among the West End talent performing in Christmas In New York are Notes From New York regulars Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer, Avenue Q star Daniel Boys, Wicked’s Ashleigh Gray and Oliver Tompsett, Laurence Olivier Award-winning former star of Hairspray Leanne Jones, West End regular Hannah Waddingham, Samuel Barnett and Rachael Wooding.
