Chapel Street is Luke Barnes’ rowdy, relentless two-hander about modern life and love on the dole.
Directed by Cheryl Gallacher, it tells the story of Joe, who’s been let down, belittled and ignored. But it doesn’t matter because tonight is Friday and he’s going to get smashed.
Kirsty has bought some vodka on the way home from school and is hastily shaving her legs with her friend’s dad’s razor. As bottles are drained and the sun sets the two hit the town, neither aware that soon their lives will irreconcilably collide.
The show is playing as part of RADAR 2012, a three week festival exploring the future of new writing.
