Following the Olivier Award-winning Polaris (Thomas Adès: See the Music, Hear the Dance), this new creation from Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Crystal Pite cements her place as one of the most inventive choreographers working today.

Shock and bewilderment encompass you in the wake of a disaster. In this timeless, liminal space you are at once the survivor and the disaster waiting to happen.

Created by Jonathon Young and Pite, Betroffenheit touches on themes of loss, trauma, addiction and recovery through a boundary-stretching hybrid of theatre and dance.

The piece is co-created by Kidd Pivot and Electric Company Theatre.
