Peter Hall returns to Bedroom Farce 32 years after he directed its London premiere with playwright Alan Ayckbourn at the National Theatre.
Bedroom Farce centres on four couples, three bedrooms, two celebrations, one blazing row and an illicit kiss (or two). In typical Ayckbourn tragi-comic style, Bedroom Farce shines a brilliant spotlight on the trials and tribulations of suburban marriage.
Ayckbourn is one of the UK’s most prolific and respected playwrights, whose work has been seen all over the world. His numerous plays include The Norman Conquests, Woman In Mind, Relatively Speaking and Absurd Person Singular.
Sir Peter Hall is the former Artistic Director of the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, which he founded.
Bedroom Farce, which is suitable for ages 14+, plays as part of the Behind Closed Doors season at the Rose theatre, Kingston, alongside Miss Julie.
