Following a crowd-pulling, critic-pleasing, sensory-exploding run in London in 2017, Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical is rocking the West End again at the Dominion Theatre.

Taking place in Obsidian – a post-apocalyptic world led by the tyrannical ruler, Falco – Bat Out Of Hell tells the story of the eternally young Strat and his wild gang – known as The Lost. While roaming the streets, Strat has a chance encounter with Raven, Falco’s daughter, which leads to a full-throttled love affair packed with youthful rebellion and rock and roll.

Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical was written by songwriting legend, Jim Steinman. Jim is famed for writing Meat Loaf’s album Bat Out Of Hell – one of history’s best-selling albums having sold over 50 million copies worldwide – and follow-up album, Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell, which features the monster and eternal hit, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That).

Jim used songs from the iconic albums to create the soundtrack which includes: You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) and Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad. Plus, the show includes two previously unreleased songs, What Part Of My Body Hurts The Most and Not Allowed To Love. These storming tunes were recognised with an Olivier Award 2018 nomination for Best Sound Design.

Jordan Gage plays the free-spirited Strat, taking over from the original star in the role Andrew Polec, and Christina Bennington plays Raven, with Rob Fowler as Falco and Sharon Sexton as Sloane.

500,000 people saw the adrenaline-pumping show during its runs at Manchester Opera House, London Coliseum, and Toronto’s Ed Mirvish Theatre in 2017, and it received rave reviews from both critics and public alike. The show also received 8 nominations at the WhatsOnStage Awards – the most nominations received by a musical in 2018.
