Following the lives of Granville Shakespeare and Leopold Swindon De Cock, Basildon tells the story of two aging actors from the London Fringe, who in an attempt to earn some extra cash start taking photographs of young Essex housewives for a new Gentleman’s magazine called The Pereneum.
