Cillian Murphy returns to the National Theatre to star in Enda Walsh’s ambitious and tender new work Ballyturk.
The production, which reunites Murphy and Wash following their work on 2011’s Misterman, charts the story of two men whose lives unravel over the course of 90 minutes. Where are they? Who are they? What is this room, and what might be beyond the walls?
Arguably best known for his film roles, which include The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Red Eye, Murphy’s stage credits include Love Song in the West End and The Seagull at the Edinburgh Festival.
Directed by Walsh, Murphy is joined in the cast by Stephen Rea, whose previous NT credits include Cyrano De Bergerac, The Shaughraun and The Playboy Of The Western World, and Mikel Murfi.
