Alice Coote takes the title role in this interpretation of Ariodante, which creates an emotionally charged world of surreal sensuality, lost innocence and betrayal. Paul Nilon, Patricia Bardon and Peter Rose lend their talent to the ensembles, while the musical score falls under the direction of British conductor Christopher Moulds. Potent characterisation, imaginative choreography and an award-winning set complete the production.
The performance on 8 June does not have surtitles.
