Zach Braff, known for his role in hit US TV series Scrubs, makes his UK stage debut in his own new play about a man hitting rock bottom on his 35th birthday.
All New People, which premiered in New York before coming to London, is set in the dead of winter. Charlie (Braff) is at his friends’ luxury Long Beach Island apartment burrowing away from the rest of the world. But his plans are forced to change when a parade of misfits turns up at his door: a hired beauty, a fireman and an eccentric British estate agent desperately trying to stay in the country. These four characters find themselves tangled together in a beach house where the mood is anything but sunny, while Charlie just wishes they’d leave him alone.
In addition to Scrubs, Braff is known for the film Garden State which he wrote, directed and starred in. Director Peter Dubois worked in the UK in 2011 on Becky Shaw at the Almeida theatre.
