George Balanchine’s Agon, his final collaboration with Igor Stravinsky, features eight women and four men in a series of brisk quartets and trios that culminate in an astonishing pas de deux.

Glen Tetley’s Sphinx is a meditation on the Oedipus myth that was originally choreographed for American Ballet Theater in 1977. The dance is a trio for Sphinx, Oedipus and Anubis, the jackal-headed god who shepherds the dead into the Egyptian underworld. 

Wayne McGregor, the Company’s Resident Choreographer, premieres his new work set to Notes On Light by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, written for cellist Anssi Kartunen. Designs are by Japanese visual artist Tatsuo Miyajima.
