Aftermath is a harsh and mind-blowing drama that tells the story of 35 people who, when Iraq was invaded in 2003, fled the chaos and violence for the relative safety of Jordan.
20 March 2003: a date that the ordinary people of Iraq will never forget, a day that changed their lives forever. That day, the Americans arrived in their country.
In the creation of Aftermath, New York Theatre Workshop’s award-winning actor/directors Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, from Tim Robbins’s Actors Gang, visited Jordan to discover first hand what happened to Iraqi civilians as a result of the events that began on that fateful day.
Aftermath is staged in the dramatic, evocative setting of the Old Vic Tunnels, Station Approach Road, London SE1.
