The evening marks the first stage of a project in its early conception.

Houston tries out a few small acts (or maybe one long act) – and as with her previous scratch night at Battersea (Desert Island Dances) she is keen to engage the audience in discussion as part of her process.

Speaking about the performance, Houston said: "Actions is an umbrella title under which individual acts will be presented. I see the course of these acts taking many forms over time and although these first acts are solo acts, I see the future being much more collaborative. These first acts serve as a kind of declaration of intent – a kind of base from which other things will spring."
