A Round-Heeled Woman stars Golden Globe Award-winning actress Sharon Gless as a woman in her 60s looking for love.
Based on Jane Juska’s book A Round-Heeled Woman – My Late-Life Adventures In Sex & Romance, the play centres on retired divorcee Juska’s plight trying to find love in California.
After 30 years of being deprived of a man’s touch, Juska, who is played by the Golden Globe Award-winning Gless, decides to place a saucy ad in The New York Review of Books looking for a man willing to make up for lost time.
Sixty-three replies and many dates later, Juska put her experiences on paper and published the book that inspired Jane Prowse’s stage adaptation.
A Round-Heeled Woman transfers to the Aldwych theatre from the Riverside Studios.
