This London premiere of A Princess Undone is a play inspired by actual events around sensational and potentially damaging royal letters acquired by Princess Margaret.

Staged in the PARK90 venue, Richard Stirling’s subversive and surprising script has plenty of humour, as well as devastating gravity.

Kensington Palace, 1993. She was the Diana of her day. That day has gone, but HRH The Princess Margaret seeks one final chance to be of service. Acquiring potentially sensational letters from Charles and Diana, she means to burn the evidence.

But there are other papers, relating to Margaret herself. And when an ex-gangster admirer returns from her past, the Queen’s sister has the choice to make or break her family yet again.

The cast is led by acclaimed actress Felicity Dean (Elizabeth I, Channel 5) as HRH The Princess Margaret, with rising young actor Alexander Knox (It Is Easy To Be Dead), the play’s author Richard Stirling as the Queen Mother’s butler William Tallon (aka ‘Backstairs Billy’), and Patrick Toomey (RSC) as the infamous John Bindon.

In Netflix’s acclaimed global hit series The Crown, Margaret re-emerged as one of the most controversial and enigmatic members of the Royal Family. A Princess Undone – inspired by actual events – aims to shed new light on the last real princess.

Inspired by the true story, A Princess Undone has won acclaim regionally, and now transfers to London, aiming to offer a dynamic, and royally dramatic, treat to theatregoers.
