Screen star Douglas Booth leads the cast of erotic thriller A Guide For The Homesick in its European premiere at Trafalgar Studios.
Best known for his roles in BBC series including Great Expectations and Worried About The Boy, as well as in film The Riot Club, Booth stars opposite Clifford Samuel in this powerful new play.
A Guide For The Homesick follows two strangers, Teddy (Samuel) and Jeremy (Booth), away in Amsterdam. One is searching for a friend for the night – the other, a beer. But despite being seemingly worlds apart, these two strangers are destined to find one another. Can they overcome their own secrets and doubts, and confess their greatest fears to one another?
Award-winning American writer Ken Urban pens A Guide For The Homesick, while Jonathan O’Boyle (Rain Man, UK tour) directs. The show also features designs by Jason Denvir, lighting by Nic Farman, and sound by Max Perryment.
The show is a tender and bittersweet play about conscience and connection, sure to charm and stun London audiences in equal measure.
