It’s all ‘Bah humbugs’ at the Noël Coward Theatre this Christmas as Jim Broadbent takes on Charles Dickens’ infamous miser in a new production of A Christmas Carol.
Adapted for the stage by The 39 Steps’ writer Patrick Barlow, the classic tale of greed, grief, ghoulish ghosts and 11th hour redemption sees some of the Victorian novelist’s most memorable characters, from Scrooge and Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit and Mrs Fezziwig, brought to life.
Playing the role of Scrooge, Academy Award winner Broadbent makes his long-awaited stage return following performances in National Theatre productions of Theatre Of Blood, The Pillowman and The Government Inspector, and Kafka’s Dick and Our Country’s Good at the Royal Court Theatre.
On screen, the much-loved performer is well known for his roles in the Harry Potter films, The Iron Lady, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Iris, Moulin Rouge! and Hot Fuzz.
Please note, this production is suitable for children aged 10-years-old and older.
