Dickens’s festive tale of a grumpy old miser whose life is changed one spooky Christmas Eve, A Christmas Carol is a seasonal favourite as traditional as roast turkey and Christmas trees.

A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a Victorian moneylender who positively detests Christmas. Alone is his home one Christmas Eve he is visited by four spirits who try to make him see the error his ways, both in his views about Christmas and about humanity as a whole.

In this production, which comes complete with traditional Christmas carols, John Ramm plays the part of the cold-hearted Scrooge. Ramm starred in Tartuffe at the Rose Theatre, Kingston earlier in 2008. The cast also includes Pip Donaghy, Louise Ford, Daniel Goode, Eamonn O’Dwyer, Adrian Schiller and 12 children from the local community.

A Christmas Carol is suitable for theatregoers aged seven and older.
