One play chosen from 600 submitted from around the world for the Warehouse International Playwriting Festival 2007 is to be given a world premiere at Croydon’s Warehouse theatre in May. Neil Flynn’s thriller Clocked will be performed for the first time at the South London venue on 2 May and runs until 25 May.
Savage and darkly humorous, Clocked tells the story of three men whose lives and relationships affect one another in the most deadly of ways. Painter Quinn works in a studio of the townhouse he shares with Moore, who has a job shrouded in mystery which involves him working all hours. One evening Moore meets a stranger in the house who claims to be Quinn’s new assistant. Is it true, and has Moore met him before?
Clocked is the debut piece of Irish playwright Flynn, who lives in County Kerry. In addition to his successful triumph over 600 other entrants for the Warehouse International Playwriting Festival, Flynn was also shortlisted in the BBC International Radio Playwriting Awards 2007 for his radio play Pantaloons.
Clocked’s cast comprises Lee Colley, Jonathan Oliver and Robert Austin, who are directed by the Warehouse’s Chief Executive and Artistic Director Ted Craig.
