Children’s writer and director David Wood is to bring Sam McBratney’s book Guess How Much I Love You to the stage this summer in a national tour which takes in the Rose theatre, Kingston, and Greenwich theatre.
McBratney’s hugely popular children’s book has sold more than 22 million copies worldwide. This new stage version – adapted and directed by Wood – follows the much-moved characters Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare on their magical journey through spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Children’s theatre dramatist Wood is best known for his many adaptations of Roald Dahl’s stories – including Fantastic Mr Fox, James And The Giant Peach, The Witches and Danny Champion Of The World – as well as stage versions of The Tiger Who Came To Tea and Babe The Sheep Pig.
Guess How Much I Love You, which stars Abbey Norman, Paul Sockett and Emily Altneu, is suitable for ages three and over.
The show visits the Rose theatre, Kingston, from 17 to 23 May and Greenwich theatre from 3 to 5 June.
