West End Wednesdays return for May

First Published 3 May 2016, Last Updated 1 August 2018

Lovers of ticket offers will be dancing around Leicester Square in delight this month as TKTS’ West End Wednesdays returns to the Official London Theatre ticket booth for May.

Each Wednesday in May, starting from tomorrow, the Leicester Square booth will have tickets for a host of London’s favourite shows available to buy on the day at half price.

There’s something to suit any taste among the shows taking part in this month’s promotion.

Musical fans can pick from Olivier Award winner Sunny Afternoon, long-running favourite Thriller Live, acclaimed revival Show Boat and the Olivier-nominated Mrs Henderson Presents.

Theatre fans who fancy a little drama can be spooked by The Woman In Black, try blindfolded theatre with All That Fall, see rare Tennessee Williams piece In The Bar Of A Tokyo Hotel, catch Uzo Aduba, Zawe Ashton and Laura Carmichael in The Maids or watch Maureen Lipman in multi-generational motherhood drama My Mother Said I Never Should.

Audiences can also laugh their way through How The Other Half Loves, take the family to see The Railway Children or be stunned by the street dance spectacle of Into The Hoods: Remixed.

Not all of these shows will be available on every West End Wednesday.

TKTS, which has been serving customers in Leicester Square for 30 years, is run by Society of London Theatre, the organisation that also runs this site. All proceeds from sales at the booth go towards supporting the theatre industry through audience development initiatives including Kids Week, Get Into London Theatre and West End LIVE in association with MasterCard, bursaries for aspiring performers and training and support for new producers.
