We asked our Facebook fans what their favourite lines from a show are. We’ve pulled together some of our favourites into this handy list for you, and added some GIFs for good measure.

A show that hasn’t even opened in London yet has already got everyone talking about it, as Kathy Nicholson suggests ‘Sometimes you’ve gotta grab life by the balls…then you take those balls, you tuck ’em between your legs and you put your best f***ing frock on!’ from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, which opens at the Apollo Theatre, following a smash-hit run in Sheffield.
With a show as sassy as Kinky Boots, it’s no surprise to see one of their one-liners on the list. Helen Riley’s favourite line is ‘Ladies, gentlemen, and those who are yet to make up their mind’.
Sometimes all you need is one word, as Lynette Woodhead suggests from the brilliant Memphis, which had a successful run at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre from 2014-2015: ‘Hockadoo!’
A Rodgers And Hammerstein classic is the source for our next line, as Jake Scott suggests South Pacific’s ‘I know what you are against. What are you for?’
Hallelujah for this Sister Act suggestion from Geoffrey Hubard – ‘I had a revelation when I skipped my medication’. Sister Act played in the London Palladium in 2009 and is currently on a UK tour. Fabulous, baby.
Garaidh Falconer’s favourite line comes from one of the West End’s longest running musicals, The Phantom Of The Opera, ‘A mask. My first unfeeling scrap of clothing’.
If ever I were to get a theatrical tattoo it would probably be this one from Rent, as put forward by Karina Kunze; ‘Forget regret or life is yours to miss’.
