Olivier award-winning composer Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer: The Opera; Made in Dagenham) will feature alongside some of your favourite West End stars for the first live performances in theatre with a live band since theatre closures in March.
Filmed from 3rd June – 6th June 2020 in strict accordance with social distancing guidelines, In The Wings brings audiences a new 4-part series of filmed interviews and live entertainment hosted in a London theatre, with composers, writers, and creatives of shows that have been postponed due to COVID-19 including: No Limits; Legends of Arahma; Gretel! and Dorian: A Rock Musical.
The series will air from 12 June at 7:30pm and thereafter at the same time each week. It will feature performances from West End stars: Dougie Carter (Les Misérables; Sunset Boulevard); Aaron Lee Lambert (Hamilton; Miss Saigon; Sweeney Todd); Steph Parry (Mamma Mia; 42nd Street) and Laura Pick (Wicked; The Sound of Music).
Each episode will not only include a variety of performances of songs from the new shows but also songs from much-loved West End musical hits, which means there will be something for everyone!
