The Gruffalo is a misunderstood beast. Yes, he may have turned-out toes and a very scary poisonous wart on the end of his nose but did you know he quite fancies playing drums in a band? Or how about the fact that his woodland acquaintance, the cunning, always hungry Fox, actually likes opera? Nope, we didn’t think so.
We were pretty surprised too to discover such facts when we headed to the deep dark wood one afternoon earlier this month. On a cosy tree log, we met the show’s famous trio to discuss theatrical tastes, secret ambitions and whether, amongst all those threats to eat poor Mouse, they do actually get along after all…
