Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots sets up (shoe) shop at the Adelphi Theatre in just two days. Yes, TWO DAYS!
Naturally we’re excited, so when we were given a sneaky peek at rehearsals in the show’s latest rehearsal video our excitement levels went off the shoe sizing scale.
From finding out just how much Matt Henry loves dancing in heels to watching Killian Donnelly hit the musical’s high (heeled) notes, what more could we have possibly wanted – apart from the show’s arrival itself – on this fairly average Wednesday afternoon?
In the words of cast member Amy Lennox, they’re gagging for an audience, so hurry up 21 August when we’ll be able to enjoy the Cyndi Lauper musical about a struggling shoe factory and its sturdy stiletto-sporting saviour in full.
If the video is anything to go by, we’re expecting more heels than Imelda Marcos’ wardrobe and the V&A’s current Shoes: Pleasure And Pain exhibition put together.
