Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman; two names that fill West End theatre audiences with confidence and glee.
These leading ladies are at the top of their game and probably at the top of every casting director’s wish list of star performers to take to the stage.
So a concert bringing the pair of former Elphabas together should already have you as excited as a winged monkey who’s spotted a floating bunch of bananas.
But throw in the fact that Ellis and Dearman have been friends for 20 years, having trained together at Laine Theatre Arts, and the evening promises to be one full of big notes, incredible vocals, surprise songs and laughter. Lots of laughter.
Oh my, the amount of giggling, messing and general winding up I had to cut out of this video to get to the hub of what to expect from the one-off evening of fun and why their 20 year friendship is so special… I could sell it to a failing sitcom to use as the most tuneful canned laughter British television has ever known.
Kerry Ellis And Louise Dearman, Live In Concert… Together will play at the Prince Edward Theatre on 27 September. To find out more, watch the video at the top of the page.
