UK Theatre has announced the 12 regional and national winners of the UK’s Most Welcoming Theatre 2017 in association with Smooth Radio. This award, which is voted for by the public, is an opportunity for audiences to celebrate their local theatre.
This year 172 theatres across the UK took part in the competition with a record 40,000+ votes cast. The overall winner of Most Welcoming Theatre 2017 will be announced at the prestigious UK Theatre Awards on Sunday 15 October.
The nominations, which were recently announced, saw all-female nominees for Best New Play and nominations for Caroline, Or Change and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie which will both transfer to London shortly.
