Martin Shaw, Jeff Fahey, Nick Moran, Robert Vaughn and co will continue to be disgruntled males for longer than planned, extending the run of Twelve Angry Men at the Garrick Theatre to 15 March.
The courtroom drama, which opened in London in November 2013, had been due to close on 1 March. It extends having received a host of strong reviews.
Written by Reginald Rose as a television play, Twelve Angry Men tells the story of a dozen jurors working on a murder case in which a young delinquent is accused of murdering his father. Though the decision is apparently clear, the case soon becomes a dilemma as prejudice and pressure bubble to the surface.
When the production opened in November, The Sunday Telegraph described it as “The classiest, most intelligent show in the West End”, while the Financial Times called it “A moving, intensely gripping revival”.
