It’s hard to believe that we’re already approaching the next school break since the summer holidays, but it’s true – the October half term is just around the corner.
As the months get colder, it can be hard to know how to keep the kids entertained, but there are so many fun things on offer, particularly in London’s theatreland!
Below are some of our favourite shows on offer in the half term for all ages.

Dear England, The Prince of Wales Theatre
Inspire your kids to dream big at this revolutionary play. Dear England is the smash-hit tale of the 2016 Euros, spotlighting the life changing experience of the young players, and the notorious leadership of England manager, Gareth Southgate.
Following a sell out run at the National Theatre, the production transferred to the West End and is booking until 13 January.

Frozen, Theatre Royal Drury Lane
Visit the magical village of Arendelle, where your child’s favourite film comes to life. At Disney’s Frozen, you’ll hear all the iconic songs you know and love and be reunited with characters that bought you so much joy the first time around.
As we move into the colder months, there is no better time to visit this incredible show.
Matilda The Musical, Cambridge Theatre
This production follows the story of a young girl with an incredible mind. Despite being hampered by unscrupulous, uncaring parents who care neither for their daughter or for education, she excels intellectually and even discovers a rather unique talent.
Matilda The Musical brings Roald Dahl’s much love story, to the stage (aswell as the big screen!). The globally renowned show from Tim Minchin and the Royal Shakespeare Company is one of the longest running musicals in London, but still feels fresh, new and exciting.
Fun for all the family
Mrs Doubtfire, Shaftesbury Theatre
An old favourite for the parents is transformed into a new, exciting production for everyone to enjoy. Bring the family together at Mrs. Doubtfire, which is dazzling and delighting audiences at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre.
The show follows the story of divorced Daniel Hillard, who hatches an elaborate plan to get back into his families lives, following a messy custody battle with his ex-wife. Mrs Doubtfire is sure to tug on the heartstrings and make you laugh until you cry.

Make history lessons fun with a family trip to London’s hit musical – Six.
Prepare to lose your head and experience the Tudor Wives’ as you’ve never seen them before, as they turn back the clock and take to the stage to reclaim their crowns and retell their stories of love, loss and the infamous ex they all have in common.
