Tom Hollander stars in Stoppard revival

First Published 22 June 2016, Last Updated 22 June 2016

A revival of Tom Stoppard’s Tony Award-winning play, Travesties, will open at the Menier Chocolate Factory this autumn, starring Tom Hollander. The play, originally produced at the Aldwych Theatre in 1974, tells the story of British diplomat Henry Carr, who reminisces about his life in Zurich in 1917, where he knew James Joyce, Tristan Tzara and Lenin.

Tom Hollander (most recently seen in the BBC’s The Night Manager) will play Carr in a production directed by Patrick Marber, whose production of Three Days In The Country at the National Theatre won an Olivier Award in 2016.

Travesties runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 22 September to 19 November. For more information and to book tickets visit the official website.
