Even more families are being given the chance to have tea with the West End’s most popular tiger this summer as The Tiger Who Came To Tea has added extra performances to its run at the Lyric Theatre.
The production, which is based on Judith Kerr’s much-loved picture book, is due to return to the West End from 2 July to 7 September.
Adapted and directed by acclaimed children’s playwright David Wood, the Olivier Award nominated show tells the story of Sophie and her mum, who welcome a tiger with a ferocious appetite into their home. The production follows the famished feline as he makes his way through all the sandwiches, buns and biscuits in the house before drinking all the water in the taps.
Featuring sing-along songs, audience participation and magic, The Tiger Who Came To Tea is suitable for children aged three and older and will play daytime performances at the Lyric Theatre alongside Michael Jackson-inspired hit Thriller Live, which is currently booking until April 2015.
